ET can confirm that Casey Johnson was found dead on January 4.

According to the LAPD, Johnson's body was discovered at 11:50 a.m. on January 4 and there is an investigation into her death.

"It appears to be a natural death," police officer Sara Faden tells ET. "There's no evidence of foul play. A toxicology report from the coroner's office will proceed next."

The family of the young woman spoke out in a statement to ET, saying, "The Johnson family is mourning its tragic loss, and asks for privacy during this very difficult time."

Reality show star Tila Tequila announced in December that she was engaged to the Johnson & Johnson heiress.
