After "The Bachelor" Jake Pavelka accompanied his lady loves on hometown dates, one woman made the difficult decision to leave the show.

Jake went to New York City, Massachusetts, Oregon and Florida as he met Gia, Ali, Tenley and Vienna's families.

In New York, Gia's mom told her, "I really feel that he's got this love for you... I just think that he loves my girl," after meeting Jake, while her brother told her, "He seems alright, I just don't want to see you get hurt again."

Meanwhile, Ali took Jake to her grandma's house in Massachusetts, explaining that her grandmother had died shortly before she came on the show. Ali explained to the camera, "I know her spirit lives there and she met him that night. My grandmother accepted Jake into our family."

After Ali's mom met Jake, she gave him her blessing. "I can see that she has very strong feelings for you ... and she's the happiest I've seen her in a long time," Ali's mom said.

Next, Jake ventured to Oregon, where Tenley performed a flowing, lyrical dance for him that she choreographed herself. When it came to Jake's feelings about the dance, he said, "I was just kind of melting in the chair."

During a private conversation, Jake straight up asked Tenley's father if he could marry her. Her father replied, "I do appreciate all that you've shared with us, it feels natural, it feels comfortable. I feel like I could give my blessing for Tenley to marry a person like you."

In Florida, Vienna took Jake on a boat ride up the river to show him the 'gators, turtles and other wild life of her home state. Back at her parents' house, her dad took Jake aside in the the garage with his motorcycle for a man-to-man conversation.

"I've always treated her like a princess, and that's how I expect her to be treated," Vienna's dad told Jake, adding that Vienna would return the favor and that the house would always be clean when Jake came home, if he chose her.

Next, Jake and the final four ladies got back together for the rose ceremony, but Jake received a shock when Ali knocked on the door of his hotel room. She explained that her employers had given her an ultimatum -- quit "The Bachelor" or be fired.

Ali asked Jake for his take on the situation, and he said, "I can't right now guarantee you that I'm going to put a ring on your finger, but I can't look you in the eye and tell you that I'm not going to."

"Ali, life is about minimizing your regrets. You just have to weigh which one is going to be a bigger regret," Jake said, refusing to tell her explicitly what to do.

She told him that she'd let him know her decision at the rose ceremony.

When the ladies arrived for the ceremony, Ali and Jake took a private moment. Jake told Ali, "Ali I don't want you to go ... you weren't on the line tonight. We've had more time together, it's been very deep and very meaningful, and I love the fact that I'm falling in love with you, and I don't want you to go. If you choose to leave, I will be devastated."

She replied, "I love you," but, in the end, the decision was made. ""I have to go. … I'm so, so sorry," a tearful Ali told Jake.

Jake walked Ali out to a waiting limo, and said, "I feel like you're slipping right through my fingers and I don't know how to stop you."

They kissed goodbye tenderly before Ali was whisked away by the limo, as she cried, "I don't know if I made the right choice."

After she left, Jake said, "I didn't expect to come all of this way to get my heart broken again. I'm trying to find my inner strength. … I don't think it's in my cards to be devastated and single at the end of this."

There are now three ladies left in the running for Jake's heart: Gia, Tenley and Vienna. The next episode of "The Bachelor" airs next Monday on ABC.
