Kirstie Alley's weight woes have made her the target of many a tabloid story as she gained 75 pounds, lost it, and packed the pounds back on. Now, she's going to try to take it all off on her own A&E series, "Kirstie Alley's Big Life."
"You know, I have a big life," the "Cheers" star says in a promo for her upcoming real-life series. "I've had all these incarnations in one lifetime: I've done scripted, I've done comedy, I've done drama, and I've done commercials. So this is a new challenge to me."
The series is about more than just her weight-loss journey. It will also chronicle her life as a single mother raising two teenagers, True and Lillie, taking care of eight ringtail lemurs, launching her new weight -loss company, producing a feature film, and looking for love.
"I'm so down with the booty call," she says, "but I don't want to be a fat booty call. I want to be skinny booty call."
"Kirstie Alley's Big Life" premieres March 21st at 10 p.m. on A&E with back-to-back episodes.
