It was a "Bachelor" shocker when Ali Fedotowsky took herself out of the running for Jake Pavelka's heart on Monday night's "The Bachelor: On the Wings of Love." Now there are only three ladies left -- Gia Allemand, Tenley Molzahn and Vienna Girardi -- who are flown to the lush Caribbean Island of St. Lucia for fantasy overnight dates with Jake on the next episode of the matchmaking series. Before that happens, though, ET caught up with Gia to gauge her feelings for Jake. Is she in love?
"I hope to fall in love with Jake soon. I hope," she tells ET, adding that she has no strategy for staying in the game: "I'm just me, and I'm just hoping that that works."
On Jake's New York hometown date with Gia, he learned from her family that she had been hurt badly by a previous boyfriend who cheated on her, which is why she is slow to give her heart. But it doesn't help matters any that she has to hear about the dates that the other bachelorettes have with the man who could potentially be her future husband.
"It's a big struggle that I'm dealing with on the show while trying to fall in love with Jake," she admits.
Gia says as of now, she hasn't found any flaws in Jake -- who was deemed "too perfect" by Jillian Harris on "The Bachelorette" -- and she describes him, saying, "Jake is such a gentleman. He is sweet, genuine and a great person with a great heart. "
When it comes to matters of the heart, she feels it is a two-way street: "I'm not looking at it as winning his heart. I want us to win each others' hearts. I just want us to both really feel that we belong together."
"The Bachelor: On the Wings of Love" airs Mondays at 8 p.m. on ABC.
