Britain's Queen Elizabeth II visited a grocery store in Poundbury, England on Thursday, and no one seemed more surprised by the trip than the Queen herself.

Her Majesty flashed a fair amount of quizzical glances back and forth as she wandered up and down the aisles of the Waitrose supermarket.

The royal tour of Poundbury, a new town that is an extension of the experimental village of Dorset, comes 20 years after work on the development began. Just before the grocery store run, the royal family saw the unveiling of a statue of Queen Elizabeth II's mother, Queen Elizabeth The Queen Mother, which was resurrected in the development's Queen Mother Square.

The new development is expected to be completed in 2025.
