Jessica Simpson and Eric Johnson are celebrating the special day their love journey began: the engagement. Six years ago today -- and coincidentally six months after they started dating -- the former NFL tight end asked Simpson to marry him.

The 36-year-old actress and fashion designer posted several photos to Instagram on Friday, including a screengrab of her iPhone at 11:11 a.m. and the caption, "6 years ago I said 'YES' to forever #LOVE."

Johnson also sent his wife a beautiful bouquet of brightly colored flowers, along with a note that read, "Thanks for saying yes after only 6 months. It started all this. I love you Eric."
