The fans have spoken, pitting Justin Bieber against Selena Gomez at the upcoming 2016 American Music Awards.

The exes will face off in the top Artist of the Year category on Sunday, Nov. 20, when the AMAs air live from the Microsoft Theater in Los Angeles at 8 p.m. ET on ABC. Bieber and Gomez certainly aren’t the only heavy hitters in the category.

Ariana Grande, Rihanna
and Carrie Underwood have also been announced as the final contenders in the fan-voted category. Fans can continue to vote for the winner until Thursday, Nov. 17, just before 9 p.m. PT.

As usual, the AMAs are shaping up to be a star-studded affair, with performances already announced from Lady Gaga, Fifth Harmony, James Bay, Green Day, John Legend, Bruno Mars, Shawn Mendes, Twenty One Pilots, The Weeknd, along with special duets from The Chainsmokers and Halsey, Ariana Grande and Nicki Minaj, and Maroon 5 and Kendrick Lamar. Plus, "The American Music Award of Merit" honoree, Sting, will also hit the stage to perform.

Gigi Hadid
and Jay Pharoah will serve as co-hosts.

"I think I will attempt the comedy that feels most natural to me. I think if it feels forced I'll probably shy away from it, but I want to do stuff that comes off as my natural goofy self, which I think we'll get," Hadid told ET last week. "When I get nervous, it's just nice to be able to go to your goofy side."
