Even Isla Fisher's own family can't tell her apart from her Nocturnal Animals co-star, Amy Adams.

Fisher admitted to ET that she "can totally see" how people would mistake her for Adams, and it sounds like she used this knowledge to pull off the ultimate prank.

The 40-year-old actress revealed on the Today show that she "cut and pasted" Adams' face over hers when creating her family Christmas card with husband Sacha Baron Cohen. "So it was Sacha, Amy, and the kids, and then we said, 'Seasons greetings from Sacha and Isla,'" Fisher shared. "No one noticed!"

Instead, she said she got compliments like, "'Oh, your card was so cute!'"

"I was like, 'It was a joke, it's not me, it's Amy!'" Fisher exclaimed.

The Wedding Crashers star told ET that she's flattered when compared to Adams, calling it a "huge compliment."

"I think Amy's gorgeous," she gushed. "She's small and cute, and I'm sort of not as small or as cute."

Fisher says even celebrities have confused her for the Oscar nominee. "I've been mistaken for her a couple times in my career. One of them was kind of amazing because it was Lady Gaga," she recalled. "She congratulated me for my performance in American Hustle."
