EXCLUSIVE: Mariah Carey Is 'Ready to Move On' After James Packer, Still 'Sensitive' Over Nick Cannon Baby News

Mariah Carey is ready to focus on the future and not her billionaire ex-fiancé, James Packer.

"She's ready to move on," a source close to the GRAMMY winner tells ET. "She feels like she dodged a bullet."

The 46-year-old singer remains locked in a battle with Packer over a financial settlement, she's asking for a $50 million "inconvenience fee" and to keep the 35-carat, $10 million engagement ring, after their wedding was called off.

"The negotiations aren't going well," the source says. "At the best, she'll keep the ring."

A source previously told ET that "this whole $50 million thing and other noise is a distraction to try and rationalize what she is asking for." ET has reached out to Packer for comment. ET has reached out to Packer for comment.

While Mariah has been leaning on her ex-husband, Nick Cannon, for support, new recently broke that he’s expecting a baby with his ex-girlfriend, Brittany Bells. According to our source, that remains "a sensitive topic for [Mariah]."

Cannon confirmed the news during a radio interview with Power 105.1's Breakfast Club on Thursday. "God said be fruitful and multiply," he said. "I'm doing the Lord's work out there."

Paparazzi peppered Carey with questions about Cannon's baby news after she grabbed some late-night pizza in Los Angeles on Friday with backup dancer Bryan Tanaka, but Carey brushed off the topic.

"Is he talking to me?" she asked in response to one photographer's inquiry.

For now, Carey has more important things to focus on like Christmas and spreading the holiday cheer one "All I Want for Christmas" performance at a time.

Last week, Carey belted out her classic at Disneyland, which will air on ABC's The Wonderful World of Disney: Magical Holiday Celebration later this month. And by her side during the whole performance? Yes, Tanaka, her backup dancer.
