Hugh Hefner
broke his Twitter silence on Thursday to share a special Thanksgiving message.

The Playboy founder, who has stepped out of the spotlight in recent years, shared a family photo to Twitter over the holiday weekend.

The pic, originally posted by Hef's son, Cooper Hefner, showed a sweet father-son moment around the Thanksgiving dinner table, along with Cooper's fiancée, Scarlett Byrne, and a family friend.

"Hope everyone is having a lovely evening with family and friends," Cooper tweeted. "Happy Thanksgiving all."

The 90-year-old magazine mogul wore his signature red smoking jacket in the family photo as he smiled for the camera.

The retweet was the first message Hugh has shared since Sept. 30, when he mocked ominous tabloid reports about his health.

"I wish the tabloids had informed me a little earlier in the week that I’m sick," he tweeted. "I might have cancelled my weekend plans."

Cooper recently returned to the family business back in July when he took over as Playboy magazine's Chief Creative Officer, working alongside his father. Check out the video below to hear more.
