It seems Lauren Graham's relationship with Peter Krause was meant to be… at least according to the actress' on-screen mother on Gilmore Girls, Kelly Bishop.

In her new memoir, Talking as Fast as I Can: From Gilmore Girls to Gilmore Girls (and Everything in Between), Graham reveals that Bishop actually suggested that she date Krause before she and her then-future Parenthood co-star even met.

"From the start of the show, Kelly [Bishop] named herself my TVM, or TV mom, by which she meant she was taking her character's role seriously, beyond the pages or sets and out into the real world … In a maternal, protective way, she found most of my boyfriends at the time lacking, and once told me I needed someone who was more my equal, like 'that wonderful actor on Six Feet Under,'" Graham, 49, pens in her new book.

Krause starred on Six Feet Under as Nate Fisher from 2001 to 2005, before nabbing a role as Graham's TV brother on Parenthood in 2010. And while the two starred as siblings, it was a romantic connection that brought them together.

"At our age we'd probably both been through 'showmances' that went south and made work an uncomfortable place to be," Graham writes. "But ultimately, our mutual wariness gave way -- it just sort of happened."

Though Parenthood ended in 2015, Krause and Graham seemingly can't get enough of each other -- Krause even had an adorable cameo on Gilmore Girls: A Year in the Life.
