Holmes, who was there to promote her directorial debut, All We Had, also took time to discuss the show that launched her career, Dawson's Creek -- crediting creator Kevin Williamson for the relevance of her character, Joey Potter.

"He created this world and these characters that really made teenagers feel heard because he had all of us talking these big words and these thoughts and really expressing ourselves and I think that it's really a testament to him," she gushed. "I just feel lucky that I got to play her."

Though Holmes certainly has fondness for Joey, she revealed on Sirius XM's Just Jenny show later that day that she doesn't think there will be a Dawson's Creek reunion.

"I don't think we're going to do a reunion," she shared. "We did grow up but we see each other every now and then and I think that the charm of the show was Kevin Williamson's writing and it was of that time. And it gave teenagers this voice. It was a very, very special time… a special show. And I loved every minute of it."
