Carey and Tanaka seemed to take a little break from their love affair on Tuesday, as the pop diva flew solo to flip on the flights at the Empire State Building.
But back to the two lovebirds, Carey and Tanaka also spent Sunday night together, cozying up at a screening for her new E! docuseries, Mariah's World.
"Mariah's chemistry with Bryan was subtle, but undeniable," an eyewitness told ET. "It is the way they communicate. They seem so happy in each other's presence. They are on the same page -- their laughing and the glances between them."
Carey and Tanaka started dating late last month, after the singer split from billionaire fiancé James Packer in October.
