Valerie Fairman is being remembered by her MTV family.
The former 16 and Pregnant star was found unresponsive by a friend on Wednesday. Fairman's mother, Janice, told ET on Thursday that while the report from the medical examiner is not yet complete, it's suspected that she died of a drug overdose. Fairman was 23.
Teen Mom 2 star Jenelle Evans, who appeared with Fairman on season two of 16 and Pregnant in 2010, was among the first of Fairman's MTV family to comment on her death, taking to Instagram to pay tribute to her friend.
"Rest Easy Angel. ?? #RIPValerie my heart is heavy and my prayers go out to your family and Nevaeh," she wrote.
Earlier in the day, Evans explained in since-deleted tweets that she had stayed in touch with Fairman and encouraged her to stay sober.
"Oh my god. ? I just spoke to her a couple months ago and told her I'm proud of her and looks like she's doing good. ?," she tweeted. "This really upsets me. … I told her to stay on track. ??."
Farrah Abraham, who appeared on season one of 16 and Pregnant, also paid tribute to Fairman on Instagram.
"I feel so heartfelt with sadness of the struggles Valerie was going through I deeply am saddened by this tragedy and I wish that others around Valerie could have helped her," she wrote. "I pray nothing but protection, love and peace to her daughter through this very confusing holiday time."
"Only 23 we lost a very beautiful young mom with the world ahead of her. Surround yourself with other who will truly care and be a great influence be careful," Abraham ended the note.
