Carrie Fisher: Harrison Ford, 'Star Wars' Co-Stars and Family Share Their Thoughts and Prayers

The actress' sister Joely Fisher, William Shatner, and Cher are among those who posted to social media after the actress suffered a heart attack on Friday.

Carrie Fisher has an amazing group of supportive friends, family and former co-stars.

The 60-year-old actress suffered a heart attack while aboard an airplane flying from London to Los Angeles on Friday, and celebrities have flooded social media with their thoughts and prayers after hearing the news.

One of Fisher's most famous co-stars, Harrison Ford, told ET in a statement on Saturday, "I'm shocked and saddened to hear the news about my dear friend. Our thoughts are with Carrie, her family and friends."

In her recent memoir, The Princess Diarist, Fisher revealed that she had an intense affair with Ford on the set of the original Star Wars in 1976, when he was 33 and she was 19.

Another co-star, Mark Hamill, tweeted that he was thinking about Fisher while noting that 2016 has been, well, a year. "As if 2016 couldn't get any worse... sending all our love to @carrieffisher," he wrote.

Peter Mayhew, Billy Dee Williams, Gwendolyn Christie, and even the official Twitter account of Darth Vader also poured out their hearts. 

The actress' sister, Joely Fisher, is publicly hoping for the best, too. On Friday, she tweeted, "Use the force babe ?❤," alongside a photo of her sibling.

Then on Saturday, she shared a throwback pic with herself and Carrie as well as their sister, Tricia Fisher, writing, "Fisher Girls...your love and prayers are deeply felt...@TriciaLFisher @carrieffisher @Gary_TheDog."

In a statement to ET, Los Angeles Fire Department spokesman Erik Scott said they responded to LAX for a patient on an inbound flight in cardiac arrest at 12:11 p.m on Friday. LAFD firefighter paramedics were standing by for the plane's arrival, provided advanced life support and aggressively treated and transported the patient to a local hospital. Fisher is currently in the Intensive Care Unit of a Los Angeles, her brother, Todd Fisher, told ET exclusively.
