The Goo Goo Dolls frontman and his wife, Melina, welcomed their first child, daughter Liliana Carella, on Thursday. The newborn weighted 7 lbs., 9 oz., and was 20 inches long.

"I think Melina and I are in for a really special relationship," Rzeznik told ET. "We both fell in love with Liliana the first moment she cried."
The 51-year-old singer first announced that he and his wife -- who married in July 2013 after eight years of dating -- were expecting during a Facebook Live chat with Sirius XM's Jim Ryan last month.
Rzeznik explained that the band was taking a little break from touring after Dec. 11 for both the holidays and his wife's due date. Goo Goo Dolls' 11th studio album, Boxes, came out in May.

"I'm very excited... I'm ready for action," he said, adding, "I've been an uncle my whole life, but I've never been a dad... I'm sleeping in two hour shifts."
