Are we reading too much into this?

Two days after Tina Knowles announced she would be taking a break from social media after "accidentally" liking an Instagram comment dissing Jennifer Hudson, the singer took to the popular app to open up about "someone else's ugly."

"Getting started on my New Years resolution list, hmmm let's see," the 35-year-old singer captioned a snap of her "2017 reminder to self." "Don't allow someone else's ugly to mess up your beautiful."

While it's entirely possible that Hudson's message had nothing to do with Knowles' comment, the timing is interesting.

Though Knowles insisted on Wednesday that she would never intentionally shade the singer, she did apologize, and called out "evil mean people making this into a social media ugly thing."

"I've known Jennifer Hudson for many years and have totally been in admiration of her talent and beauty and kindness I would never ever say anything negative about her or agree with anything negative," Beyoncé's mom wrote on Instagram.

"My children worried that I might accidentally touch something when looking at other sites and have warned me about it. They always say that I am not that great on social media I have to be very careful," she continued, explaining that she must have "accidentally" liked the comment in question ("Jhud sounds horrible") while scrolling through videos of Beyoncé. "I absolutely would not have touched a like or dislike on one of these sites."
