Between a new baby and a beautiful engagement, 2016 has been a year to remember for these two!

After three years of dating, the adorable couple announced their engagement via a sweet selfie posted to social media on Saturday.
"Thank you to everyone before us that made this moment possible…" wrote the 29-year-old L.A. Galaxy player. "I feel extremely lucky and blessed to end 2016 engaged to the 'ove of my life. Happy New Year!"
Berlanti, 44, later posted the same photo, reflecting on the past year. "2016 was memorable for many reasons, for me it was the year my heart doubled in size," he wrote. "First, when my son Caleb was born. And second, a few days ago, when I got engaged to my soulmate."

The Arrow producer continued, "Though I dreamed of both those things happening, I'm not sure I truly believed they were possible. Thanks to the friends and family who helped me find my way to this moment in my blessed life. A happy and healthy 2017 to all."
Rogers and Berlanti welcomed their son, Caleb Gene Berlanti, last February via a surrogate and just celebrated their first Christmas as a family of three.
Berlanti is the producer behind a slew of television successes including Dawson's Creek, Arrow, The Flash and Legends of Tomorrow, while Rogers became the first openly gay player in a major U.S. sports league.
