Mel Gibson Let a Stranger Shave Off His Epic Beard Live on 'Jimmy Kimmel' -- Watch!

Mel Gibson was definitely up for anything during his appearance on Jimmy Kimmel Live! on Thursday.
The 61-year-old actor and director gamely cut a random passersby's hair named William outside the studio on Hollywood Boulevard as part of a hilarious segment, but Gibson shocked even the host himself when he later allowed William to shave off his impressive beard in return.
"I've had it for quite a long time, it's a part of my identity, but ..." Gibson said.
As William shaved off his beard, the Oscar winner referenced his classic film, Braveheart, yelling, "Freedom!"
Meanwhile, Kimmel was in disbelief that Gibson actually shaved off his beard on live television.
"This is unbelievable," Kimmel said. "I don't even know what to say about this."
Earlier in the segment, Gibson explained that he actually had some experience cutting hair due to his eight children. "I used to cut my children's hair when they were little and they didn't have a choice in the matter," he shared. "It wasn't a great job but it got them through. They're still alive, they survived."
Gibson is now expecting his ninth child with his 26-year-old girlfriend, Rosalind Ross.
"I feel fortunate," Gibson told ET about being a father again when we spoke to him at the Hacksaw Ridge premiere in October.
