Turns out, Lady Gagawon’t be doing her best Donatella Versace.

Ryan Murphy set the record straight on reports last year that the 30-year-old singer would be portraying the famous fashion designer in the third season of American Crime Story, which will focus on the 1997 murder of Donatella’s brother, Gianni Versace.

“No, she will not,” Murphy told a small group of reporters at FX’s Television Critics Association press day on Thursday.

The denial comes two months after a report surfaced claiming that Gaga -- who appeared in the last two installments of the American Horror Story franchise -- would play Donatella, with whom the singer has had a friendly relationship.

Though details are scarce for the Versace season of American Crime Story, it was revealed that filming will begin before Katrina -- the franchise’s planned second season -- and air as the third, sometime in 2018.

The Versace season is based off a book by Maureen Orth titled Vulgar Favors: Andrew Cunanan, Gianni Versace, and the Largest Failed Manhunt in U.S. History.

Versace was murdered on the steps of his Miami mansion by serial killer Andrew Cunanan, who killed himself eight days later in a houseboat. Cunanan's motives for killing Versace were never revealed.
