Val Chmerkovskiy is one happy uncle!
The Dancing With the Stars
pro was a guest on Good Morning America
on Tuesday, where he couldn't stop gushing over his newborn nephew, Shai, his brother Maksim's first child
with fiancée Peta Murgatroyd.
"[He's] amazing!" he dished. "Very handsome, like the parents."
The 30-year-old dancer also called baby Shai's arrival "a blessing," telling host Michael Strahan "it's changed the dynamic" of his family.
"It's changed my brother," he explained. "His name is Shai Chmerkovskiy, which is very unusual because this is the very first Shai Chmerkovskiy ever."
"I'm trying to be the best uncle I can be," he added. "I want to spoil him. I don't think he really understands much right now. But as soon as he's able to comprehend the love that he has around him, I think he's going to be a very spoiled young man."
Tuesday also marked Maksim's 37th birthday, so naturally, Val celebrated his brother's special day by posting a series of adorable throwback pics to Instagram -- 12, to be exact!
"To my brother happy birthday. We came a long way," Val captioned one of the pics, which featured the two sporting matching Christmas sweaters. "Love you @maksimc #happybirthdaymaks."
"Thanks for 'bearing' with me all these years, especially my super clever comedy," another hilarious post read.

One day before his GMA
appearance, Val attended a New York Knicks game
with his girlfriend, Amber Rose. The pair sat courtside and even made it onto the jumbotron as part of a prearranged video segment called "Celebrity Row." The the 33-year-old model later called the moment "cute" via Instagram.
