Queen Elizabeth definitely isn't afraid to wear bold colors!

The 90-year-old royal enjoyed tea with friends at a meeting of the Sandringham branch of the Women's Institute near King's Lynn, England, on Thursday, looking lovely in a bright fuchsia coat and dress. The queen accessorized with a chic black purse and black loafers, and appeared to be in great spirits.

It's particularly good to see the queen out and about after she and her husband, 95-year-old Prince Philip, battled heavy colds during the holidays, causing them to miss several appearances. On Jan. 8, she made her first public appearance in a month when she attended church at St. Mary Magdalene Church in Sandringham.

In December, the world's longest-reigning living monarch announced that she was stepping down as patron of 25 organizations in order to reduce her workload. She handed over her patronage of certain groups to other members of the royal family including her grandson, Prince William, and Kate Middleton.
