Chris Lane
has spoken -- and Bachelor Nation has answered!

The 32-year-old country singer hit the stage during Monday night's episode, performing his romantic new single, "For Her," during a sweet hometown date between Nick and Danielle L. in Waukesha, Wisconsin.

Now, the heart-tugging song is blowing up the charts, racing to the No. 1 spot on iTunes' Country Songs chart on Monday night. Meanwhile, Lane's debut album, Girl Problems, is now sitting pretty at No. 2 on the iTunes Country Albums list.

Still riding high on Tuesday morning, Lane chatted with ET about the emotional "bucket list" gig and whether he'd ever be game to take on the role of Bachelor himself.

ET: The response to your single, “For Her,” has been incredible on the charts! What does it mean to you to see people embracing the song so much?

Chris Lane:
It is kind of like icing on the cake. I was honored to have the chance to perform on The Bachelor. Now, getting to see people respond to the song as it moves up the charts is really exciting to watch. It was my goal that the performance matched the date. I think it did!

Was this performance more or less nerve-wracking than a typical show? Were you anxious?

I wouldn’t say I was nervous but it was certainly a little nerve-wracking. I only wanted to make sure I did the date justice. I am a big fan of the show, so I know how important it can be for a moment like this to help connect those on the date, in this case Nick and Danielle L.

Were you a fan of The Bachelor and The Bachelorette before appearing on the show?

I am a huge fan of the show. This was definitely a bucket list opportunity for me. I am very thankful to my team and The Bachelor team for pulling this off!

Would you ever look for love on a show like that?

Right now my number one focus is my music career and making sure I get out on the road to meet every one that is listening. However, when I can turn my attention to someone else and give them the focus they deserve -- I certainly would not turn down an offer to be The Bachelor!

Only ET had a behind-the-scenes look at the epic "For Her" music video back in September, in which Lane helped a real-life couple get engaged! See the adorable moment below.
