PDA and professions of love!
Good friends Helen Mirren and Morgan Freeman shared a sweet smooch on stage at the AARP’s Movies for Grownups Awards in Beverly Hills, California, on Monday night.
After presenting her Red costar with the award for Career Achievement, Mirren grabbed the Oscar winner’s face and planted a kiss on his lips.
Freeman, who will turn 80 in June, immediately returned the love.
“I want the world to know that I’m in love with Helen Mirren,” he declared. “I’ve been for some years now.”
“[Mirren’s husband] Taylor Hackford knows it and I’m still alive,” Freeman humorously added.
During his acceptance speech, Freeman also touched on the lessons he has learned throughout his long-spanning career.
“Responsibility,” proved the key to his reflection.
“I’ve learned that with all the advantages of being a grown-up comes responsibility,” Freeman said. “Responsibility to be true to yourself, responsibility to honor those who came before you, responsibility to leave the world a better place when you go.”
“[It's a] scary challenge because these are troubling and uncertain times,” he continued. “But I’m confident that we can get through whatever the next few years can bring.”
Freeman isn’t the only one getting reflective lately. See Mirren, 71, hilariously look back at 2016 in the video below.
