Lena Dunham has revealed how she was so sickened by Donald Trump’s presidential win that she couldn’t handle eating and ended up losing weight in the process.

“Donald Trump became president and I stopped being able to eat food,” the Girls star shared during an interview with radio personality Howard Stern on Monday, crediting the controversial election for her slimmer figure. “Everyone’s been asking like, ‘What have you been doing?’ And I’m like, ‘Try soul-crushing pain and devastation and hopelessness and you, too, will lose weight.’”

Dunham
also addressed her pre-election comments that she would move to Canada if Trump became president -- a notion that she saw as “an impossible joke” at the time.

“I was like, ‘The most qualified candidate we’ve ever had is running against a steak salesman. We’re going to be fine,’” she said.

During the interview, the 30-year-old actress also dished on Barack and Michelle Obama’s 18-year-old daughter Malia’s recent internship on Girls.

"She is so smart. I once asked her, 'What's your favorite movie?' She was like, 'Do you want me to list it by favorite director, writer or cinematographer,'" Dunham dished. "I was like, 'You're smarter than me, let's just be done with this topic.'"
