Kylie Jenner is opening up about how she turned her biggest insecurity into a business empire.

In a new series titled "Woman Made" for VIOLET GREY, the 19-year-old reality star gets candid on getting lip injections, why she always wanted fuller lips growing up and the massive success of her Kylie Cosmetics company, which all started with a simple lip kit.

"I was obsessed with lips, in general, and making my lips bigger before I got my lips injected," Kylie explains.

Her mother, Kris Jenner, chimes in, telling the mag, "She was probably 17, she wasn't even an adult yet, but she knew what she wanted, and she knew exactly what it was going to look like."

Following her dramatic makeover, the beauty guru made headlines for the sexy selfies she began posting via social media, which featured up-close looks at her fuller pout. She originally denied getting lip fillers, but after getting slammed by fans and the media for blaming her plumped lips on makeup, she eventually came clean about her procedures in May 2015.

"Social media is everything to me," she admits. "It can also be a negative space for celebrities. But what would we do without it?"

Flash forward a year later, and the brunette beauty launched a company based on what was once her biggest insecurity. Now, the teenager's Kylie Cosmetics brand features not only lip kits, but eyeshadow palettes, eyeliners, brush kits and more, with pop-up shops in New York and California.

"I always knew I wanted to create my own lipstick," she tells VIOLET GREY. "I said, 'We need to trademark Kylie Lip Kit' -- that was what I wanted to call it."

"Usually, when girls do their lipstick, they use a lip liner and a lipstick, and they never have a match," she adds. "So I just created a perfect match, because that's what I’ve always wanted."

And when asked if she ever plans to step down as the brand's boss, she was quick to answer.

"I'm obsessed," she gushes. "I couldn't imagine anyone else taking over Kylie Cosmetics."
