"Let's hear it for caffeine!!!!" Kotb captioned the photo, which featured her makeup-free and smiling from ear to ear. "Love the new mugs mom! Thx."

In October 2016, Kotb shared on her SiriusXM radio show that she was moving in with Schiffman after dating him since 2013. "It’s a little weird to be in your 50s and we’re like, ‘Hey, we’re moving in!’” the Today show co-host quipped. “It’s like we’re kids. It’s so weird.”

“It’s been so long since I’ve lived with someone," she confessed at the time. "I’m a little concerned with me -- not him. Like how I am, as a human. You know, it’s not going to be easy for poor Joel."

On the fourth hour of the Today show on Tuesday, Kotb called in to share the news that she was now a mother to Haley Joy. "Haley is because of Halley's Comet and it was one of those things that I just picture her sailing through the sky," she said of her daughter's name. "She brings us joy. She’s got a beautiful way about her."
