The couple, who are expecting twins, arrived at the fancy eatery around 8:30p.m., with George sporting a turtleneck and jacket, while Amal was rocking a black-and-white dress.

“Amal looked stunning and did not look pregnant at all,” restaurant owner Grégory Lentz tells ET. “She is tiny -- it’s amazing! I congratulated them on their pregnancy and they said, ‘Thank you.’”

The restauranteur has known the actor since 2011 and noted that he’s never seen the Ocean’s Eleven star look so thrilled.

“They were so happy and looked so in love,” he says. “I’ve never seen George happier than this. He is going to be a great father.”

The happy couple sat in the restaurant’s private Victor Hugo room for more than two hours, with Lentz saying he and Clooney shared a bottle of Bollinger Grande Année champagne, while Amal did not drink any alcohol.

Amal
ordered a salad with no truffles for her starter, while George opted for the shrimp. The couple then split the restaurant’s signature steak, Lapérouse, while chatting about the venue’s history.

“Amal and George wanted to know a lot about the restaurant,” says Grégory. “Amal was very interested in the history of the restaurant and she is very knowledgeable about French history. George wanted to know about the secret passage in the restaurant.”
