Cara Delevingne Has Penned a 'Coming-of-Age' Novel, and It's Hitting Shelves This Year!

Along with model and actress, Cara Delevingne can now add author to her long list of job titles.

The 24-year-old Suicide Squad star announced on Tuesday that she's "SO EXCITED !!!" about her first novel, Mirror, Mirror, hitting the shelves this fall.

"Mirror, Mirror is a twisty coming-of-age story about sixteen year old friends Red, Leo, Naima and Rose who are all trying to figure out who they are and navigate the minefield of school and relationships. Until it all changes one day…" Delevingne teased in the caption of an Instagram photo of herself holding up her manuscript.

"I love these characters so much," she continued. "I love what they stand for, what this story represents."

The model-turned-actress-turned-author marveled at how "the process of putting this novel together has been life changing," and she's excited about the conversations her novel will spark regarding "self-discovery, friendship, pain, triumph!! Being a teenager!! The experiences that shape YOU!"

Before Mirror, Mirror comes out in October, fans will get the chance to see Delevingne kick ass as an outer-space adventurer -- alongside Dan DeHaan, Clive Owen, Ethan Hawk and Rihanna -- in director Luc Besson's highly anticipated sci-fi epic Valerian and the City of a Thousand Planets, which hits theaters July 21.
