We haven't been this excited for a Hollywood bromance since George Clooney and Brad Pitt in Ocean's Eleven!
"He’s a wonderful man. It’s rare, I think, in our business when you meet somebody who’s a contemporary where there is literally no competition," Gyllenhaal shared during an appearance on U.K.'s The One Show. "It’s just a real love. I think that’s about just friends you meet at a certain time in your life. We met on this movie. We just became really close friends."
As for Reynolds, he can't stop gushing over his handsome co-star's culinary skills. “Blake [Lively], my wife, is very good at cooking, and Jake might be just a little bit better,” he declared while on Thursday's Good Morning America. “He can throw down. It gets very competitive between the two.”
Reynolds quickly joked that his comment won't go over well with Lively. “I’m moving out at the end of the month. I’m actually moving out right now, under this desk," he quipped. "I’m already making plans.”
The 40-year-old actor added that his friendship with Gyllenhaal is only stronger after working with him on Life. “We’re hanging out all the time,” he revealed. “We live near each other. It’s cool. I live out in the ‘burbs.”
Continuing to praise the 36-year-old Oscar nominee, Reynolds noted, "He’s definitely one of my favorites, and at the same time he’s one of the kindest guys I’ve ever met.”
Life debuts in theaters on March 24.
