Selena Gomez Surprises Los Angeles High School Students at Step Up Event -- See the Pics!

Selena Gomez is taking time out of her busy schedule to give back to the community.

The singer partnered with Coach and the Step Up organization to surprise some unsuspecting students at two Los Angeles high schools on Thursday.

NEWS: Selena Gomez Is the New Face of Coach!

Gomez, who is the new face of the Coach brand, took to Instagram to share a photo from the exciting event.

"@instagram is celebrating world kindness day and I got to spend it with people who fully will change our world one day," the "Same Old Love" singer wrote in the caption. "@coach introduced me to @stepupwomensnetwork which is an after school organization that encourages girls to believe that they have the capability to do anything they set their mind to. It's crazy to me how much they are willing put others before themselves."

Gomez, along with Coach’s CEO Victor Luis, spent the afternoon hanging out with Step Up participants, discussing their goals and working on after school activities.

Gomez also teamed up with Step Up CEO Jenni Luke in leading a confidence building curriculum lesson designed to celebrate equality and empowerment.
