He never goes out of style! On Friday morning, Harry Styles debuted his first solo single, “Sign of the Times,” on BBC’s Radio One.

Unlike his One Direction roots, Styles’ first solo work was more of a slow jam that’s already been compared to the work of the late David Bowie.

In the cover art for the single, Styles is sitting in the water looking out into a red sky.

“It’s the song I’m most proud of writing, I think,” Styles said on Radio One on Friday. “I wrote most of the album in Jamaica, I was in Jamaica for two months. I just wanted to not be distracted… I really liked being away from everything.”

Styles has been keeping busy since One Direction went on a long-term hiatus, filming the Christopher Nolan war drama, Dunkirk, and working on his album. He will also be performing the new single on Saturday Night Live on April 15.
