CBS Television Distribution, a division of CBS Studios Inc., has established the Bonnie Tiegel Memorial Scholarship Program on behalf of Entertainment Tonight and the family of the show's longtime senior producer, who passed away in January.
The scholarship program may grant $2,500 awards to up to five students who plan to continue their education with a degree in broadcast journalism, communications or journalism.
"The Entertainment Tonight production is proud to be part of this worthy cause in honor of our beloved Bonnie Tiegel and her family," said Dan Henry, executive in charge of production for Entertainment Tonight. "We hope that this will continue for years to come."
More information about making a tax-deductible donation and the process of applying for the Bonnie Tiegel Memorial Scholarship can be found here
after the program goes live on April 20.
Tiegel served as a mentor to many in Hollywood, and was a tireless advocate for women's rights. To see Tiegel accepting her Phenomenal Woman Media Award from the YWCA of Greater Los Angeles, please watch the video below.
