Tori Spelling and Dean McDermott on How Baby No. 5 Saved Their Relationship: We Had to 'Start New'

Life has certainly changed for Tori Spelling and Dean McDermott since welcoming their baby boy, Beau Dean, last month.
In a new interview with People, the couple opens up about how their fifth child saved their marriage, years after Spelling discovered that McDermott had been unfaithful.
While Spelling reveals that she "never for a moment" wanted to end things, her relationship with McDermott was put under the microscope by friends and fans as the aftermath of McDermott's affair played out on 2014's True Tori.
"Everyone was saying, 'Divorce him! Why is she staying with him? That is weak,'" she shares. "But my gut instincts just shut it all out, and I said, 'I love this man. If there is a way to work it out, I want to try to do that.'"

“We worked on everything," Spelling continues, confessing that she and McDermott went through intense marriage counseling and he entered rehab. "The relationship as we knew it died. We had to bury that and start new."
The couple's new start came when Spelling announced she was pregnant with baby No. 5 in October.
"Rebuilding our marriage took time," she explains. "And now, having a new baby, it makes sense. It’s like a new baby in a new relationship."
"I am so blessed and lucky that she never walked away, because now we have this incredible relationship," adds McDermott, who shares 10-year-old Liam, 8-year-old Stella, 5-year-old Hattie and 4-year-old Finn, with Spelling, and 18-year-old son Jack with ex-wife Mary Jo Eustace. "I can’t imagine life without Beau."
ET caught up with Spelling in October, where she opened up about welcoming her fifth child after a high-risk pregnancy.
