“Jacob, a little something for you and your lucky date tomorrow,” read a handwritten note accompanying the gift, according to the Daily Mail. “Have a great time! Much love, Emma Stone.”

The ballsy student made headlines with his impressive film re-enactment, which he posted on Twitter last month with the caption, "I'M ASKING EMMA STONE TO PROM, and decided to recreate the opening scene from la la land.”

During an appearance on Good Morning America a few days later, the fanboy revealed that the actress had written to thank him for “the greatest proposal I’ve ever received.”

While Stone, who won an Academy Award for her role in the Damien Chazelle musical, was not able to attend the big night due to filming commitments, she decided to make her presence felt by sending Staudenmaier a boutonniere to wear to Saturday’s event.

Despite Stone’s no-show, Staudenmaier still had a beauty by his side -- fellow student Caitlin Teefy.
