'Morning Joe' Co-Hosts Joe Scarborough and Mika Brzezinski Are Engaged
Morning Joe co-hosts Joe Scarborough and Mika Brzezinski are engaged, a spokesperson for MSNBC confirms to ET.
The couple began working together on the MSNBC talk show in 2007, although, at the time they both living separate lives with their respective partners. Scarborough divorced from his second wife in 2013, while Brzezinski officially split from her ex-husband of 23 years in 2015.

“We want to spend the rest of our lives together,” Scarborough told Vanity Fairin a recent interview published on Thursday. “That’s more important than what management will think and critics will think or anybody else.”
“Everyone talks about how there was always something there,” Brzezinski said. “Over the past year and a half, I realized I had to face these feelings and that it was time to stop putting them in a box. It was not an easy process and it was not an easy set of decisions for either of us. It was something I couldn’t deny anymore.”
When it came time for the proposal, Scarborough picked the perfect location. The 54-year-old news anchor popped the question outside of Bar Bellini at the Hotel du Cap-Eden-Roc in Antibes, France. The two were vacationing there for Brzezinski’s 50th birthday.
“Halfway up the hill, he said he needed to sit down,” Brzezinski explained. “We hadn’t been feeling well, so I thought, Oh, poor guy, he can’t make it up the hill. His glasses were fogging up, he was so nervous. I kept thinking he really must not have felt well.”
“When I saw him on one knee, I started laughing nervously, almost hysterically,” she continued. “And then he asked, and I said, ‘Absolutely.’”
When asked about their wedding plans, the two were quick to say that they would not be taking Donald Trump up on his offer to get married at Mar-a-Lago or the White House.
“The White House that I grew up in was an amazing place. If it weren’t Trump, it might be something to think about,” Brzezinski said. “The mental picture is just fascinating, but the reality is just . . . no. No, no, no, no, no.”
