Thomas Rhett's baby girl is officially here!
The 27-year-old singer took to Instagram on Friday to announce that he and wife Lauren Akins, who is currently pregnant with their first biological child, have adopted a baby girl, Willa Gray Akins, from Uganda.
"Everyone meet Willa Gray Akins! I can't believe our daughter is finally home🙌🏼," Rhett -- whose full name is Thomas Rhett Akins -- wrote alongside the sweet family pic."We have been in this adoption process for what seems like forever and are just so filled with joy that we are all finally home together!"
"Thank you to everyone who prayed every single day for this sweet girl," he added. "The Lord blessed us with the most amazing little girl we could have ever dreamed of and we can't wait to watch her grow up! #daddyforreal @laur_akins."
Akins shared more pics of their first moments as a family of three on her own Instagram page.
"YALL 😩🙌🏼😭💗 Our baby girl is hommmmeeeeee 🎈🇺🇸💙🇺🇸🎈 Thank you Jesus for bringing our family together on the same continent finally :) little cutie Willa Gray Akins came home yesterday after completely stealing our hearts in Uganda over a year ago & we're sooooo happy we just can't stand it," she captioned the slideshow, before thanking her parents, friends and family for their support throughout their adoption journey.
The cute couple is expecting another baby girl this summer, though Rhett told ET
in March that he's just fine being outnumbered!
"Before we even started wanting to have kids, I wanted girls. I'm just gonna love them so much," he confessed. "I'm nervous about it as well, I don't want to deal with boyfriends down the road, you know?"
"We're so excited to have two kids running around our house in the next five or six months," Rhett added.
