Abby Wambach and Glennon Doyle Melton officially tied the knot, and were thrilled to share photos from special day with fans and friends.
On Monday, the 36-year-old former soccer pro proudly posed in a sweatshirt that read "Christian Mommy Blogger’s Wife," calling out her new wife's profession. "My beloveds -- please never give up on love. Life could surprise the hell out of you," Melton captioned a photo of Wambach wearing the sweatshirt. "Trust me -- you might just wake up one morning and find yourself smackdab in the middle of heaven. I love my wife. LOVE WINS."

Melton confirmed the two were dating last November in a Facebook post, just three months after announcing her divorce from her husband of 14 years, Craig Melton. "When I fell in love with Abby, I was scared. I thought that my fear might be bigger than my courage, and that because of that size difference, I might miss out on my chance at happiness. This was so painful," the mother of three captioned another pic on Monday from their wedding. "I'm 41, now, and I'm graduating to joy. I choose joy. You can, too. First the pain. Then the rising. Your courage is bigger than your fear."
Wambach also shared a photo of Melton while en route to their honeymoon. "My wife @glennondoylemelton is always keeping our lives in order," she gushed. "She is the hardest working warrior... always. She's my favorite. Of. All. Time. #imtheluckiest #ilovehermorethanbread"
This is also the second marriage for Wambach, who was married to Sarah Huffman for three years. The two famously kissed after the U.S. Women's National Soccer Team won the FIFA World Cup in 2015, but split shortly after Wambach's DUI arrest in April 2016.
