Sophie Turner Talks Dating Joe Jonas: 'I Found It Easier to Date Someone Who Understands the Industry'
Sophie Turner is a big fan of dating people who work in your industry. The Game of Thrones star, 21, opened up about her romance with Joe Jonas in a new interview with InStyle magazine.

Noting that she prefers to “keep things pretty private,” when it comes to her love life, Turner did talk about the benefits of dating someone else in the entertainment industry.
“I found it easier to date someone who understands the industry or is in that world,” she said. “You realize that you’re not going to see each other all the time. And you don’t feel like a jerk when you’re like, ‘My publicist says I can’t do this.’ ”
The pair have been together since late 2016 and have been spending lots of time together. They attended a friend’s wedding and accompanied one another to the Met Gala earlier this month (though they walked the red carpet separately).
Turner is preparing for the seventh season of her HBO fantasy series. She’s found a close friend and ally in co-star and on-screen sister, Maisie Williams.

“To have someone who understands what you’re going through, who’s the same age, who came from pretty much the same background -- that is so rare,” she said. “And we’ve had the same struggles in terms of dealing with body image and puberty and growing up in the public eye. But I found my strength in her, and I think she found her strength in me.”
