Issa Rae's character can't get her ex-boyfriend off her mind in season two of HBO's Insecure.

The series debuted a season two teaser on Wednesday, and it looks like Issa's breakup drama has left her at a crossroads.

The 50-second teaser shows the 32-year-old actress driving through Inglewood, California, which seemingly represents her character's attempts at navigating through the obstacles of everyday life.

As she moves around the city's downtown area, Issa's status with her ex, Lawrence (played by Jay Ellis), becomes a roadblock of sorts, and it's leaving her "hella confused."

While season one ended with Issa hoping to reconcile with Lawrence after cheating on him (Lawrence soothed his broken heart by sleeping with a bank teller), when the series returns next month fans will finally get to see if the exes are ready to give love another shot.

But dating troubles aren't the only focus of Insecure, which is co-created by Rae and Larry Wilmore. The hit series starring Rae, Ellis, Yvonne Orji, and Lisa Joyce, follows the friendship of two black women, Issa and Molly (played by Orji), as they face their "real-life flaws" while coping with an "endless series of uncomfortable everyday experiences."

"Their friendship is a sisterhood, where they'll constantly call each other out and hold each other accountable," Rae recently dished to ET. "They may get upset and get on each other's nerves, but they know each other’s true intention. We're just watching them grow into secure individuals together through their faults and calling each other to the carpet.'"

Season two of Insecure premieres July 23 at 10:30 p.m. ET/PT on HBO.
