The rumors are true!

Lorde, who is currently promoting her sophomore album Melodrama, revealed on Thursday night’s Tonight Show with Jimmy Fallon that she is the mastermind behind an Instagram account dedicated to reviewing onion rings.

The now-deleted @onionringsworldwide account was discovered earlier this week by a New Zealand news site which, after some serious sleuthing, was convinced it was Lorde herself running the page. The account had 24 followers, consisting of Lorde's band members.

“I naively didn’t realize that it would be a thing that I was going to different places and trying the onion rings at each of those places,” the 20-year-old New Zealand native told Fallon.

“I feel like it reads like the kind of thing that a pop star would to do look relatable, which I wasn’t doing,” she continued. “It was a funny thing with my friends on the tour.”

The “Royals” singer also opened up to Fallon about her struggle with fame, and why she took three years off and moved back to New Zealand.

“I just really felt like the whole thing was not really for me when I didn’t have to do it,” she explained. “I’ll do it when I have to do it, and when I don't have to I’m just gonna peace out and go 10 thousand miles away.”

As for her onion ring obsession, the pop star says that won’t be stopping anytime soon.

“I’m still gonna keep eating onion rings because they’re my favorite,” she admitted. “I think they’re underrated as well. I don’t think they get enough credit for how delicious they are.”
