Harry Styles Mourns the Death of His Stepfather Robin Twist at 57
It's a difficult time for Harry Styles and his family.
The 23-year-old singer's stepfather, Robin Twist, has died after a battle with cancer. He was 57 years old.
"Harry's step-father, Robin Twist, sadly passed away this week after a long battle with cancer. The family asks for privacy at this time," Styles' rep said in a statement to ET on Thursday.
Harry's mother, Anne Cox, married Twist in 2013, and Styles served as the best man at the ceremony. Earlier this month, Cox celebrated their four-year anniversary with a sweet selfie on Instagram.
Twist also had two children from previous relationships, Mike and Amy.
Styles' One Direction bandmate, Louis Tomlinson, also mourned the death of a loved one -- his mother, Johannah Deakin -- last December. Tomlinson opened up about his mother's death after a battle with leukemia in January, and recalled how she urged him to continue to pursue his music career after she was diagnosed with cancer.
