Wonder Woman diehards, rejoice!
While the Wonder Woman OG, Lynda Carter, didn't appear in the recent big-screen hit, the Wonder Woman sequel might be a different story. In fact, the 65-year-old actress has already discussed it with director Patty Jenkins, who is hard at work helping to craft the Wonder Woman 2 script.
"We were trying to get me in the first one and we couldn't make it work with our timing," Carter told People. "It really is up to Patty, and if it works in an organic way it'll be great fun and it'll be wonderful to do."
Carter, who plays President Olivia Marsdin on CW's Supergirl, recently told ET's Nischelle Turner that she was excited to see how Jenkins and Wonder Woman star Gal Gadot reinvented her character.
"I am the bearer of the torch and now I'm passing it forward to Gal and to Patty," Carter said. "I spoke with Patty early on and I couldn't wait to meet Gal. The three of us share some sisterhood by living and breathing this character. This is another way to look at her. It doesn't mean to abandon me or abandon the way that I had her, the way that I played her. This is just another way to look at Wonder Woman."
