La La Anthony is getting candid about her steamy sex scene in Power.

The 38-year-old actress appeared on Power 105.1 FM's The Breakfast Club on Wednesday, and she opened up about filming the scene, as well as how she initially informed her estranged husband, Carmelo Anthony, about it. La La split from the 33-year-old NBA star in April.

"Well, let's start with the sex scene. That was done eight months ago," she explains. "So, when it was going on, you sit down, have a discussion with the person you're with and say, 'Hey, this is what's coming up in the script. I want to make sure you're comfortable with it. I want it to be done as tastefully as I can.'"

Although, since the episode aired, she admits that she hasn't talked to Carmelo about it.

"I try not to bring it up," she jokes.

La La says she was in Italy when the sex scene aired on television, and talks about the sexy swimsuit photos she posted on Instagram from the trip.

"Listen, what is the point of being on the beach, wearing a bathing suit, if you're not going to take pictures?" La La asks. "I'm a female. I'm happy with my body and I don't really care what people say, and whatever, it is what it is."

"I'm having a good time, I'm living my life -- hell, I been through a lot," she also acknowledges. "I'm just enjoying it, having fun, and just really happy about where my life is right now."

As for reports that Carmelo wants out of the New York Knicks, La La says she herself is "not moving anywhere."

"I am New York, born and bred, and I will be staying here," she stresses.

Later, she made it clear that she and Carmelo are still on good terms. The two share a 10-year-old son together, Kiyan.

"He's my best friend," she notes of her ex. "When you're with someone for 13 years since they were 19 years old, and you have a 10 year-old child, you'd hope that you guys would be cool. We are the best of friends."
