'Love Connection' Welcomes First Openly Lesbian Contestant

Host Andy Cohen teases 'amazing' conversations during Thursday night's episode.

Host Andy Cohen ushers in a "historic first" for Love Connection on Thursday's episode.

The show will feature its first-ever openly lesbian contestant, Liz Baxter. "I'm pretty excited to be a part of this," she tells Cohen. "It's definitely history for us."

"You're so beautiful! I can't believe you're single," he says. "We're excited you're here."


Love Connection
relaunched this year with Cohen as host. It had previously run from 1983 to 1998.

On Twitter, Cohen said viewers can look forward to "amazing convos" with Baxter and her three blind dates. One of the dates is not yet out to her family and will come out to them on the show.
