Chester Bennington Laid to Rest in Private Funeral

Linkin Park frontman Chester Bennington
was laid to rest in a private funeral attended by friends and family in Rancho Palos Verdes, California, on Saturday.

Austin Carlile, former frontman for Of Mice and Men, shared a photo on Instagram of the funeral's program as well as the pass to enter, made up to look like VIP concert passes.

He captioned the photo, "The service today was beautiful. Thank you Linkin Park, thank you Chester. For everything."

More friends shared moments from the service. Rapper Blackbear shared another image of the program, along with a yellow wristband reading "Chester Bennington,"on his Instagram, adding the caption, "beautiful ceremony.. a lil piece of u has & will be in every song i sing on stage forever."

The bands Julien-K & Dead by Sunrise shared a post on Facebook of the groups holding up posters and a t-shirt in honor of Bennington.

"Chester we love you so much. Our thoughts, love, and prayers to [his wife] Talinda, the kids, and the LP family. We love you...." they wrote on their post.

According to TMZ, a full stage, including a drum kit, was set up for musical tributes during the funeral.

Bennington was found dead at the age of 41 in his home on July 20, from a suicide by hanging, the Los Angeles County Coroner's Office told ET.
