Mark Steines and Wife Julie Welcome Daughter Parker Rose: 'It Was a Surprise For Us'

Mark Steines and his wife, Julie Freyermuth, are parents to a beautiful baby girl!

The former ET host announced on Wednesday's episode of Home & Family that he and his wife welcomed daughter Parker Rose on Friday, July 28. The baby came earlier than expected, but Steines shared that everyone's doing great.

"It was a surprise for us because she wanted to show up early and meet Mom and Dad face to face, so it happened really quick," he said. "She's in the hospital because she came a little bit early. They were going to keep an eye on her. She's itty-bitty. She's 5 pounds, 18 inches long."

"Mom is doing great, the baby's doing great -- we're all happy," he added.

Steines shared that he actually met Julie, a children’s book author, two years ago on the set of his Hallmark series when she appeared on the show.

"Julie and I met on this show -- we met right here -- and now two years later, we got a Home & Family baby. We were gonna call her Home & Family," he joked.

He also Instagrammed a cute picture of him cradling his baby girl on Wednesday.

"Introducing Parker Rose Steines," he wrote.

Steines, 53, announced they were expecting in April. The TV host has two teenage sons -- Avery and Kai -- from a previous marriage.
