Earlier this week, reports surfaced that Trump might appoint Miller as White House Communications Director -- which prompted Kelly to launch a Twitter campaign due to their close resemblance.

"Oh please oh please I might finally get my shot at @nbcsnl #StephenMiller," the Emmy-nominated actor tweeted. "Hey @SNLUpdate if you happen to need someone I'm around. Just sayin. #snl."

Kelly also offered to play Trump fan, Gene Huber.

"Ok @nbcsnl if not Stephen Miller I would also be thrilled to play .....this. I'm around, just sayin," he wrote.

Unfortunately, Kelly already has competition for the role of Miller. Earlier this week, Zach Braff put his name in the ring, tweeting, "Dear Lorne Michael, I can do this. Put me in Coach."
