No hard feelings! News broke over the weekend that Elon Musk and Amber Heard had split after going public with their romance in April, and on Monday, Musk confirmed the breakup in a comment on Heard’s Instagram.

The 31-year-old actress shared a split photo of herself copying Ariel from The Little Mermaid, with the caption wrote, “Put a fork in it.”
First her 46-year-old ex commented on the pic, “V cute,” with a heart emoji.
He then followed that up with a more detailed comment, writing, “Btw, just to clear up some of the press storm this weekend, although Amber and I did break up, we are still friends, remain close and love one another. Long distance relationship when both partners have intense work obligations are always difficult, but who knows what the future holds.”

The former couple kept their relationship mostly private with the occasional social media post. Musk also was the first to share a shot of Heard as Queen Atlantis in the Justice League movie on Instagram back in May.
