Dennis Farina plead no contest to carrying a weapon into a secured area, the Los Angeles Superior Court tells ET.
The "Law & Order" star was arrested in May on suspicion of carrying a concealed weapon after police say they found a .22-caliber handgun in his briefcase as he tried to pass through security at LAX airport.
A former Chicago officer for 19 years, Farina was "apologetic and cooperative" and allegedly told authorities he forgot he was carrying the weapon.
He was sentenced to 24 months summary probation. He was also fined $510 plus penalties and assessments equaling $1,991.
